Lamattina Top Fuel Racing Shows Speed and Strength at Mildura Home Round

Lamattina Top Fuel Racing delivered a powerful performance at its home event at the iconic Sunset Strip in Mildura this weekend, showcasing strong qualifying speed across both Top Fuel entries before weather brought racing to an early close.

Backed by long-term technical partner FUCHS Lubricants Australia and naming-rights partner BLAHST, LTFR rolled out two fast and consistent race cars from the outset. Clean, competitive qualifying runs highlighted the strength of the team’s preparation and the reliability of its high-performance package.

Team owner and driver Phil Lamattina said the weekend was a clear indicator of the team’s upward momentum.

A major highlight came in the BLAHST Top Fuel Dragster, with Shane Olive securing Top Qualifier honours. Further adding to the weekend’s success, Luca Lamattina topped qualifying in Junior Dragster, underlining the strength of the broader Lamattina racing program and the next generation coming through.

While the cancellation of the second night’s racing was disappointing, the performance indicators were clear. Both Top Fuel cars demonstrated the pace required to contend deep into race day, reinforcing confidence in the team’s 2026 campaign trajectory.
